kernel-sync: Author: Jiri Slaby <jirislaby@gmail.com> Date: Thu Oct 18 23:40:32 2007 -0700 get rid of input BIT* duplicate defines get rid of input BIT* duplicate defines use newly global defined macros for input layer. Also remove includes of input.h from non-input sources only for BIT macro definiton. Define the macro temporarily in local manner, all those local definitons will be removed further in this patchset (to not break bisecting). BIT macro will be globally defined (1<<x) Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

2007-05-13Backport kernel changeset 59c51591a0ac7568824f541f57de967e88adaa07Mauro Carvalho Chehab

2007-04-14DVB: Fix for bug 8312: oops on dvb-usb-remote when changing keymapMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Olaf Kirch <olaf.kirch@oracle.com> DVB USB remotes do not support changing keycode maps but set input_dev->keycodesize and input_dev->keycodemax without setting input_dev->keycode. This causes kernel oops when user tries to look up (or change) current keymap. While the proper fix would be to make remotes handle keymap changes we'll just remove keycodemax and keycodesize initialization so EVIOCGKEYCODE and EVIOCSKEYCODE will simply return -EINVAL. 2007-02-06Avoid race when deregistering the IR control for dvb-usbMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Chris Rankin <rankincj@yahoo.com> The work item function is dvb_usb_read_remote_control(): INIT_WORK(&d->rc_query_work, dvb_usb_read_remote_control, d); and the last piece of work it does is: schedule_delayed_work(&d->rc_query_work,msecs_to_jiffies(d->props.rc_interval)); Hence you need to call "cancel_rearming_delayed_work()" and not "cancel_delayed_work()", correct? I certainly haven't seen this oops reoccur since I applied this patch. Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2007-02-05Backed out changeset a829a6ca77529b26451610ec6368ceeaa8103ebdMichael Krufky
From: Chris Rankin <rankincj@yahoo.com> Due to usb_to_input_id(), this change was completely unnecessary. These three lines are trying to do exactly what usb_to_input_id() does already. Remove them. Signed-off-by: Chris Rankin <rankincj@yahoo.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Krufky <mkrufky@linuxtv.org>
2007-01-21dvb-usb: Register the bus, vendor and product IDs for remote deviceMichael Krufky
From: Chris Rankin <rankincj@yahoo.com> This patch writes the USB vendor and product IDs into the /sys/class/input/inputX/id/ files, so that udev can find them. A rule like this does the trick for me: KERNEL="event*", SYSFS{../id/vendor}=="2040", SYSFS{../id/product}=="9301", SYMLINK+="input/dvb-remote" Signed-off-by: Chris Rankin <rankincj@yahoo.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Krufky <mkrufky@linuxtv.org>

Multi-input patch for DVB-USB device From: Patrick Boettcher <pb@linuxtv.org> This patch is the first commit of the Multiple Input Patch for the DVB-USB frame work. It changes the DVB-USB-device to be able to have more than one streaming input (e.g. multiple DVB-T sources) on one device. This is a necessary feature for the upcoming DiB7700 driven devices.
