2008-11-13drivers/media: use ARRAY_SIZEMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> ARRAY_SIZE is more concise to use when the size of an array is divided by the size of its type or the size of its first element. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://www.emn.fr/x-info/coccinelle/) // <smpl> @i@ @@ @depends on i using "paren.iso"@ type T; T[] E; @@ - (sizeof(E)/sizeof(E[...])) + ARRAY_SIZE(E) @depends on i using "paren.iso"@ type T; T[] E; @@ - (sizeof(E)/sizeof(T)) + ARRAY_SIZE(E) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>

2008-03-02saa7134: clear audio DSP interface after access errorHartmut Hackmann
From: Hartmut Hackmann <hartmut.hackmann@t-online.de> In the case of an access error to the high latency registers of the audio DSP, the interface needs to be cleared, otherwise a cascade of errors occurs. This patch is closely modeled after a proposal by Mirek Slugen Signed-off-by: Hartmut Hackmann <hartmut.hackmann@t-online.de>

2007-10-12 Additional Fixes for saa7134 suspend/resumeMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Maxim Levitsky <maximlevitsky@gmail.com> Fixes few more problems I found in my saa7134 resume code: * Race between IRQ handler and .suspend()/.resume() functions * Removes timeout timers on active buffers - those buffers will be recaptured after resume * Adds suspend/resume for IR code - probably necessary if using polling mode * Adds #ifdef CONFIG_PM overs suspend code * Runs a quirk in set_tvnorm in suspend/resume too * Rearranges the order of calls in saa7134_resume to be exactly as in saa7134_initdev thus the card is initialized in exactly the same way * Since DMA audio capture suspend/resume isn't yet supported, avoid re-enabling it on resume for now Signed-off-by: Maxim Levitsky <maximlevitsky@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2007-10-08 Few clenups for saa7134 resume codeMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Maxim Levitsky <maximlevitsky@gmail.com> *Disable DMA explictly on suspend *Enable DMA on resume, after all buffers were configured *Disable overlay on resume - apps should enable it when X is resumed ` Signed-off-by: Maxim Levitsky <maximlevitsky@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

2007-08-21Cleanup: remove linux/moduleparam.h from drivers/media filesMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org> Since at least kernel 2.6.12-rc2, module.h includes moduleparm.h. This patch removes all occurences of moduleparm.h from drivers/media files. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2007-07-02Fix v4l-dvb backward compatibilityMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org> Due to several internal API changes on kernel, kernel backward compatibility were lost. Basically, compat.h should be the last include for it to work properly. This patch basically reorders kernel headers to allow backward compat to work fine. Also: Some includes were added after some non-include macros, on old drivers. Better to keep all includes at the beginning of the files. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>

2006-10-03saa713x audio fixesHartmut Hackmann
From: Hartmut Hackmann <hartmut.hackmann@t-online.de> This change fixes the following issues: - resolve the SECAM D/K vs SECAM-L sound conflict It is now possible to select the SECAM version either by the VIDEOIOC_S_STD IO control or by the new secam= insmod option. The driver now adapts its audio standard search list to the selected standard. - don't trigger a sound standard search when a LINE input is selected. 2006-07-15Add compat.h code for schedule_timeout_interruptible()Trent Piepho
From: Trent Piepho <xyzzy@speakeasy.org> Add a static inline version of schedule_timeout_interruptible(), it's only two lines, to compat.h. This will make bt866 and ks0127 compile with pre 2.6.14 kernels. Remove #if/#else code from msp3400, saa7134-tvaudio, and vivi that used to handle this. 2006-03-18Implement V4L2_TUNER_MODE_LANG1_LANG2 audio modeHans Verkuil
From: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl> Add a new audio mode V4L2_TUNER_MODE_LANG1_LANG2 (used by VIDIOC_G/S_TUNER). This mode allows the user to select both languages of a bilingual transmission, one language on the left, one on the right audio channel. If there is no bilingual transmission, or it is not supported, then this mode should act like V4L2_TUNER_MODE_STEREO. This mode is introduced for PVR-like drivers where it is useful to be able to record both languages of a bilingual broadcast. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl>
2006-01-31Allow SAA7134 to fall back to AM sound when there is NICAM-L Hartmut Hackmann
