2007-08-25Move all tda8275/8275a tuning code from tda8290 module into tda827x moduleMichael Krufky
From: Michael Krufky <mkrufky@linuxtv.org> Add analog tuning support to tda827x dvb_frontend tuner module. Convert tda8290 module back to native tuner interface. The tda8290 analog demodulator will be handled the same way as tda9887. The tuner.ko module (tuner-core) will pass commands to tda8290 via the tuner_operations interface. tda8290 will communicate with tda827x via the dvb_frontend interface, while passing a pointer to a private data structure. But in these cases, it makes more sense to use CONFIG_VIDEO_SAA7134_DVB or CONFIG_VIDEO_CX88_DVB_MODULE depending on the driver. The reference in cx23885.h should just be removed, as the code there needs to be included if DVB is on or off. I do not think you can even compile the cx23885 driver without DVB. Due to the replace of videobuf_read_one to videobuf_read_stream, poll() method implementation is wrong. This fixes poll() implementation, making read of /dev/video? to work again. demodulator. The module needs an external firmware file. The module has been tested on a Pinnacle 330e, but with modules that are currently not part of the linux-dvb tree. VIDIOCGCAP copies a name into a fixed length buffer - ivtv uses names that are too long and does not truncate them so corrupts a few bytes of the app data area. Possibly the names also want trimming but for now this should fix the corruption case.
