2003-07-31introduce config file versioningMichael Roitzsch
A new entry in the config file ".version:" stores the current version of the config file. The '.' at the beginning of ".version" shows that this is a somewhat hidden (read: internal) entry and it makes the line easy to spot and prevents clashes with regular config entries. The first use of this is to reset all decoder priorities to 0 (= use default) so that we hopefully won't have problems like the qtv decoder clash any more. These changes improve xine's response to the removal of a USB cable while playing audio. Further changes will need to happen so as to allow sound output to continue when the USB cable is plugged back in, without having to stop the media stream. To enable that, when xine detects that the sound card is not there any more, it will have to close both pcm and mixer, so that the kernel can release USB resources, then when the USB cable is plugged back in, the pcm and mixer are opened again.
