This works fine on some chipsets, but on others, it causes image corruption.

Now that the macro are either imported from the system or defined by
configure. don't define them in every source file.

implementations.
Some implementations are buggy and lock resources (for example the display or
internal data structures) in different order, which results in deadlocks.
As XVMC_LOCKDISPLAY_SAFE is not defined by default, most API functions will
now be guarded by a LockDisplay()/UnlockDisplay() pair, which imposes a lock
order at least for the resource display and hence avoids those deadlocks.

When using a variable to store the result of strlen(), make sure its
type is size_t just like the function returns, rather than using a
smaller type like int.

Use the proper function for common memory operations (memset() for
zeroing, memcpy() for copying, memmove() for moving), instead of
looping through arrays.
By extension, remove loops to reset arrays when they were allocated
with calloc() and thus already zeroed.
|
|
Also don't reset memory after it's allocated if we do that with
calloc.
|
|
Instead of creating strings through a series os string copy and
concatenations, use directly the appropriate printf-like function.
|
|
The xine_xmalloc() function is going to be deprecated, as its
behaviour is rarely needed as such, and it's thus misused.
With this, almost all uses of xine_xmalloc() with static size (for
instance the value returned by sizeof()) or with a size that is
guaranteed not to be zero (like strlen()+1) are replaced with calls to
either calloc(1, ...) or malloc().
malloc() is used whenever the allocated memory is going to be
immediately overwritten, while calloc() is used in every other case,
as it sets the whole memory area to zero.

For YUY2, twice the amount of data was copied into texture_buffer leading to
a segfault. The crash happened with visualizers such as GOOM and oscope but
not for normal video.

video_macosx.m was not update to specify <xine/..> includes and
default_video_driver_class was not renamed to
default_video_driver_class_dispose
|
|
This also allows to remove the comment stating the includes come from libavutil, as it's now explicit.

add code to set this attribute from xine and mention nvidia-settings, since the user may need to select a sync device as well.
