I haven't checked what is it for or if it's generally useful, just adding here so it won't be forgotten.

I guess it's a good idea to attach the diff file. Sometimes such web sites like http://home.arcor.de/bjoern.sturzrehm/vdr/ just vanish and nobody knows where they have gone ;).
