Description

Hi,

Currently, there are only the options to import data on start or at a specific time of the day. A few more options might however be usefull:

- Let's assume, I am using the 'on start' option and the VDR records several programs in a day. The consequence will be that it downloads the EPG several times, which in some cases is not necessary (for example, for an EPG provider that updates its EPG only once a day). What about adding a daily option as EPG import time? This would also be appreciated by people that do not want the VDR to start only to import the EPG, since it can do it in the background during normal use.

- As I use inactive searchtimers that I run manually to schedule different unregular programs for the week, I need the EPG for more than a week in advance. However, I do not want to hammer the sites that are so kind to let people grab the information for personal use. Thus, an option to have xmltv2vdr import the data weekly is certainly useful.

- Why not also add a 'custom' option, to have xmltv2vdr import the data at specific weekdays; so that the user can for example, tell to the xmltv2vdr plugin that it should import the data on mondays and thursdays.

- Finally, let's assume a user that gets the EPG data from different sources. It would certainly be useful, if he could specify separately for each source when xmltv2vdr should import data from that source. And to extend that idea, I wonder whether it is not the grabber that should tell xmltv2vdr what schedule options should be available for it, since every source might have its specificities.

In any case, thanks in advance for taking all this into account.
