2009-04-26gspca - m5602: Storage class should be before const qualifierMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch> The C99 specification states in section 6.11.5: The placement of a storage-class specifier other than at the beginning of the declaration specifiers in a declaration is an obsolescent feature. 2009-01-18gscpa - m5602-ov9650: Add defines for some magic constantsErik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> Replaces some magic constants with the defines. Remove a couple of bits that should be set later in the process depending on the v4l2 ctrl. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>
2009-04-03gspca - m5602: Let all ctrls on all sensors be staticErik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> All hail the static keyword Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>
2009-01-06gspca - m5602-mt9m111: Remove the unused power_down struct memberErik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> The power_down sensor struct member is almost has no purpose in the current driver abstraction. Remove it. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>
2009-01-04gspca - m5602: Move the vflip quirk to probe stage.Erik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> The vflip quirk is better checked at probe time as it's only needed once. Also add an extra reset at init time to resolve a suspend to ram regression. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>
2009-01-03gspca - m5602-ov9650: Add a disconnect hook, setup a ctrl cache ctrl.Erik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> Reading and writing to a register doesn't always work reliably. Add a cache and ensure that it is deallocated properly upon module disconnect. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>

2009-01-03gspca - m5602-ov9650: Synthesize modesetting.Erik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> Previously all resolution setting was done with precalculated tables. When the image is vflipped we need to adjust the alignment which would require another table. Now we can adjust the parameters on the fly instead. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>
2008-12-31gspca - m5602-ov9650: Don't read exposure data from COM1.Erik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> ov9650: Reading the COM1 register corrupts the image. Decrease the granularity of the exposure and limit its upper range as setting such high values doesn't have any effect on the image. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>

2008-12-30gspca - m5602-mt9m111: Separate mode vectors per sensor.Erik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> By separating the supported for each sensor into a separate vector we can eliminate the nmodes variable and instead calculate it at runtime. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>
2008-12-30gspca - m5602: Rework v4l ctrl handling in all sensorsErik Andr?n
From: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com> Previously, all sensors allocated a part of a large ctrl vector. Define this vector separately for each sensor instead. Priority: normal Signed-off-by: Erik Andr?n <erik.andren@gmail.com>

2008-10-11af9013/m5602: Fix compilation at in-kernelMauro Carvalho Chehab
From: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com> This patch fixes a few errors that were breaking in-kernel compilation. The first one were at m5602 that were including "gspca.h" from another directory. A trivial change at m5602/Makefile fixed the issue. A harder to fix error were caused by the fact that both af9013 and m5602 were declaring an external var called 'debug'. If you compile both modules in-kernel, you'll have troubles. This is even worse, since there are two other drivers outside the subsystem with a similar mistake. To make things worse, gcc do a very great job of fooling the developers, by blaming the wrong lines anf files when such error occurs. So, I was having errors like: drivers/media/dvb/built-in.o: In function `dvb_usercopy': /home/v4l/tokernel/git/drivers/media/dvb/dvb-core/dvbdev.c:403: multiple definition of `debug' drivers/media/video/built-in.o:/home/v4l/tokernel/git/drivers/media/video/bt819.c:264: first defined here or: drivers/media/dvb/built-in.o: In function `dvb_usercopy': /home/v4l/tokernel/git/drivers/media/dvb/dvb-core/dvbdev.c:403: multiple definition of `debug' drivers/media/video/built-in.o:/home/v4l/tokernel/git/drivers/media/video/vpx3220.c:125: first defined here The two above errors caused by m5602 driver. After fixing m5602, I got this: drivers/built-in.o: In function `SiS_SetGroup2': /home/v4l/tokernel/git/drivers/video/sis/init301.c:6996: multiple definition of `debug' arch/x86/kernel/built-in.o:/home/v4l/tokernel/git/arch/x86/kernel/entry_32.S:810: first defined here This one caused by af9013. This patch fixes those erros by prefixing the debug vars with the name of the module, without changing the name of the parameter. Next time, please prepend all extern vars with the name of the module. To avoid bisect troubles, I've folded those changes with the original commits that added those modules at my -git tree. kernel-sync: CC: Jean-Francois Moine <moinejf@free.fr> CC: Antti Palosaari <crope@iki.fi> CC: Erik Andrén <erik.andren@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
