Hi,

accoriding to EN300472 teletext streams provide PTS to synchronize them to video. osdteletext doesn't make use of PTS and as a result, teletext subtitles are not in sync with video. I realized this issue while watching the below mentioned channel. In combination with vdr-xine and vdpau, subtitles are way ahead of video while in combination with vdr-xine and ffmpeg they are slightly behind video.

If you go to http://www.irt.de/hdtest, you can request a PDF which describes the test sequences. Some of them provide teletext subtitles which are also encoded into the video. Therefore these sequences are a perfect test for correct synchronisation.
