Ok. Are you sure these channels provide Teletext subtitles? They might have changed to DVB subtitles, which you can enable in the VDR settings.
Please check in VDR, if you have a TPID on these channels. If this is the case, please record 5 minutes of a program, where you know it should have subtitles.
Then stop VDR and manually add the teletext pages to the channels.conf. See man(5) vdr:
... ...2001;199=und,299=und,399=und,499=und,599=und,699=und,799=und,777=und:... ...
There's a maximum of 8 pages possible. I'm not sure, if the above page numbers are correct for Canal+ on Thor, I found them here: http://telenorsatellitebroadcasting.com/upload/PDFS/Canal+%20Changes_1.November%202007.pdf
If you still don't see subtitles, record another 5 minutes with these settings.
If you upload the TS-recordings somewhere and tell me the TPID, I can take a closer look.

i have uploaded the ts file on this side.http://www.ziddu.com/download/8762927/House.tar.gz.html
is from Canal + first on 1w(thor)
i relay hope you can figure it out.

There's no PID 576 in the TS recording. Make sure that you have the channel updating enabled in VDR's DVB setup and also make sure you've enabled the teletext support there.
Please also provide your VDR's channels.conf and setup.conf.

As far as I can see from your setup.conf you haven't enabled teletext support in the VDR settings (Settings -> DVB -> Enable Teletext Subtitle Support). setup.conf must then contain "SupportTeletext=1".
If your VDR doesn't have such setting, you're missing the latest ttxtsubs patch.
If you enable this setting and still don't see any subtitles, please record another 1-minute sample for me.

Okay i have now made a reinstall of vdr, have now vdr-1.7.13, and i have also install the new ttxtsubs, osdteletext, text2skin. and i add this line 2001;199=und,299=und,399=und,499=und,599=und,699=und,799=und,777=und to Chanal+ Action in my channels.conf, enabled the teletext support in the VDR settings
but still no subtitle. If i activate osdteletext i type 599 this is danish subtile.
I have made a new rec and add my vdr conf in the folder, hope you can find the erroer
thanx

The good news is the PMT in the recording now contains an entry for teletext subtitles, announcing the subtitle pages 199=sve, 299=nor, 599=dan and 699=fin.
According to the PMT the Teletext-PID is 577.
The bad news is, that there is no stream with PID 577 in the recording - no teletext data at all. If OSDTeletext showed page 599 on the same program you recorderd, I have no idea, what's going wrong here.
The only explanation I have is, that there's something wrong with the ttxsubs patch. Can you please attach your complete, patched VDR-Source or a diff to the vanilla vdr 1.7.13 release.

hmmm how can i explain this
1) there is no subtitles when i whats live TV
2) I know that this channels send out dvb subtitles to, the subtitles on the HD channels from this provider shows fine
3) I have newer got the subtitles on this channels to show onles i use OSDTeletext. I like to have subtitles on when i whats a move.
4) I have bin playing whit vdr sins ver 1.7.6 and newer got live TV whit subs on this channels, so i thing there must be a bug in vdr some where.

If you can see the subtitles in OSDTeletext, then there must be something wrong with the ttxsubs-Patch. The important part of the patch is, that it adds the teletext pid to the list of pids to be recorded/received and generates the correct PMT entry including the subtitle page info. But the last recording you uploaded didn't contain the teletext stream.
So my buest guess is, that something went wrong when you applied the patch (There are rejectes when applying the current ttxtsubs patch to 1.7.13!).

- Project changed from vdr to vdr-plugin-ttxtsubs
Updated by etobi almost 15 years ago
- Assignee set to etobi
- Priority changed from High to Low
Dropping priority
According to phelin in #295, ttxtsubs with Canal+ channels works fine. There was just a small issue with some subtitles beeing dropped because of a too small buffer.
My best guess still is, that something went wrong when you applied the ttxtsubs patch to VDR.
If you're still interested in this bug to be solved:
- Use VDR 1.7.13
- Apply the Patch from the current Git-Version of ttxtsubs
- Use the current Git-Version of ttxtsubs
- Record a sample
- Provide that sample together with your patched VDR source tree and the VDR config files
